Does Acai Berry Really Work?

My experience with this awesome fruit dates back years ago to my first Martial Arts tournament(jiu jitsu), as a young practitioner. I would see the acai station in front of building with large lines of people waiting for their first acai cup.

The cup contained  frozen acai blended with raw oatmeal and bananas on top, when I first tried this tasty treat I noticed how delicious it was, if only we had Acai berry cups in school growing up we would not go to candy and other sweets.

The actual feeling of eating this berry is almost like a sustained sugar rush and helps you get your depleted glucose levels up after throwing people around all day, being a Brazilian art (jiu jitsu) it makes sense why they go to the tournaments as a big percentage of people that practice the sport are immersed in Brazilian culture.

After this experience I have always looked to incorporate this fruit in my diet before training sessions as well as look for Powdersthat contain this berry.

This amazing superfood fruit is found in the Brazilian amazon, it looks like a blueberry mixed with a grape and is very tasty and nutritious.

 Recipes

Acai bowl- 2 cups of frozen Sambazon acai berry

1/2 cup of oatmeal or Granola, granola will add to taste.

1/2 sliced banana.

Blend the frozen acai berry in a Nutribullet or blender, add sliced banana and granola on top.

Possible add in- Amazing grass Berry Superfood powder, honey

Acai smoothie-

1/2 cups of frozen acai Sambazon acai works best.

1 banana

2 strawberries

2tbsp of chia seeds

Blend all items in a blender and serve. Enjoy!

Preparation

There are many different ways to use this berry such as mixing organic freeze dried berries with smoothies; this is probably the best way to maximize the fruit content that you get-however can prove difficult to find in supermarkets.

The easier and more cost effective way to incorporate this fruit in your diet is to buy the powderand mix it in smoothies to make this tasty drink.

There are frozen acai berry packs that you can find -they have high amounts of acai berry in them just make sure that the other ingredients don’t have sugar because the berry itself is high in natural sugars.
